How to Compare Month vs Month Revenue in Stripe

Open the Stripe Dashboard

Navigate to dashboard.stripe.com and go to the Payments section.

Set Date Range for Current Month

Use the date filter to select the current month. Note the total revenue number.

Set Date Range for Previous Month

Change the date filter to last month. Record that total for comparison.

Export Both Months

Download CSV exports for both months to get detailed breakdowns by day, product, and customer.

Build Comparison Spreadsheet

Create side-by-side columns: revenue per day, per product, and per customer segment. Calculate percentage change.

Identify Trends

Look for patterns: which days performed better, which products grew, where revenue dropped. Stripe doesn’t surface these insights automatically.
